Good to Know: What should I bring?
It’s good to know that due to COVID we are not supplying sheets, towels, pillows or blankets. You will need to bring what you need. There is a queen bed in the bedroom. The futon on the “sleeping porch” is a double. There is also a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.
We will supply kitchen towels. A starter quantity of dishsoap, handsoap, paper towels and toilet paper will be supplied.
There is a gas grill that you can use. We do not supply propane but you can bring it or buy it at the WalMart in Canandaigua or at the neighborhood grocery store. We do expect you to clean the grill if you use it.
Neighborhood
This is a quiet, residential, family-oriented neighborhood. Please respect that and keep quiet hours after 9 PM.
There is a community beach one block away. You can walk down or take your car. there is parking there for a few cars. Please observe the posted rules. There is a big yard with Adirondack chairs to watch the sun set and a swing set for the kids.
The fantastic Eastside Grill is right in the community. You won’t be disappointed if you eat here or order take out!
Also on the block, St. Georges Grocery and Deli carries groceries, beverages, has a coffee shop ice cream store and free wifi. It also houses Pizza Sangiori for pizza and wings.
The Finger Lakes
There is so much to do and see in the Finger Lakes, all within a short drive from the cabin. Be sure to call each place before you go to check on any operating restrictions due to COVID. Here is a great list of ideas from FingerLakes.com
One of my favorite jaunts is a trip to Monica’s Pies in Naples. Be sure to ask about the glace pies when fresh berries are in season- yum!
